The DAPconstrucción® EPD PO was a pioneer in Europe, being created in 2008 by the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Government of Catalonia and the Chartered Institute of Building Technical Architecture in Barcelona. In Catalonia, in February 2008, a collaboration agreement was signed between the Directorate-General for Building Quality and Housing Rehabilitation (DGQERH), the Directorate-General for Environmental Quality and Climate Change (DGQACC) of the Department and the Chartered Institute of Building Technical Achitecture in Barcelona (CATEB), for the development of a programme of environmental product declarations in the construction sector.

Its purpose is to promote the reduction of the environmental impact of construction activity by accompanying those organizations and companies that manufacture construction products that wish to commit to the environmental improvement of their production processes, which also wish to increase the competitiveness and visibility of the company, and thus improve the image of the construction sector.
Since its creation, the programme has been administered by the Chartered Institute of Building Technical Achitecture, with the aim of managing the registration process, advising the driving companies, coordinating the agents involved and promoting actions to disseminate its use among professionals in the sector.
The Chartered Institute of Building Technical Achitecture in Barcelona has a long environmental history in Spain, through an environmental unit that was created in 1993, which has developed countless pioneering initiatives and projects to promote the transformation of the construction sector in Spain towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly model.
The main mission of the DAPconstruction® EPD PO is divided into four fundamental aspects:
Transfer, disseminate and publicise quality environmental data on construction products in the market.
To help decision-making through tools and advice.
Accompany, bring together and relate business organisations and companies that manufacture products with DAPcons®, with the agents in the construction sector that have to use them (developers, builders, designers, project managers, control entities, etc.)
Enabler of success for organizations that drive sustainability in the sector.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DAPconstrucción® PROGRAM
General conditions:
The company must request its incorporation and be approved to become part of the Program.
The company must comply with all current legal requirements, as well as obligations regarding quality and
environment.
The company will appoint a representative as an intermediary with the Program Administrator.
The company must make appropriate use of the registered trademark DAPcons® and its logo, always under the
authorization of the Program Administrator.
The company will comply with any obligation arising from the prescriptions of the DAPconstrucción® Program and
its operation.
Procedural conditions
The company that develops a Life Cycle Assessment of a target product will do so following the Product Category
Rules. Likewise, it will assume the veracity of the data provided.
The company may reasonably propose all initiatives that it considers beneficial for the DAPconstrucción®
Program and its affiliates.
The company will be part of the database of member companies of the Program.
The company will adequately justify the environmental declaration or certification of the product to be included
in order to incorporate products into the database.
The company may publicize its membership in the Program and the process of obtaining its environmental
declarations.
The company will appear in the public list of affiliated companies on the website www.dapcons.com made available
to users for their information.
Program Services
The company will have advice on the Program's procedures for obtaining environmental accreditations.
The company will have access to the Intranet with specific information for the members of the Program.
The company will receive the electronic newsletter with information related to the Program and the environment
sector.
The company will be part of the distribution list to promptly receive the emails that the Program generates for
its members.
The company may preferentially participate in those activities organized by the Program. In the event of a cost,
member companies will enjoy special conditions.
Unsubscription request
In the event of non-payment of more than one annual membership fee or failure to comply with any of the
obligations of the affiliated company, it will be removed from the program and the published documentation will
be withdrawn, without prejudice to the claim for pending fees.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE DAPconstrucción® PROGRAM

The consultant and/or verifier must request their incorporation and be approved to become part of the Program.
The consultant and/or verifier company shall appoint a representative as an intermediary with the Program Administrator.
The consultant and/or verifier must make proper use of the DAPcons® registered trademark and its logo, and always under the authorization of the Program Administrator.
The consultant and/or verifier shall comply with any obligation arising from the requirements of the DAPconstrucción® Program and its operation.
Procedural conditions
The consultant and/or verifier who develops a Life Cycle Assessment of a target product shall perform it following the Product Category Rules. Likewise, they shall assume the veracity of the data provided.
The consultant and/or verifier may propose, with justification, all initiatives they deem beneficial for the DAPconstrucción® Program and its affiliates.
The consultant and/or verifier will be part of the Program's database.
The consultant and/or verifier will appear in the public list of consultants and/or verifiers on the public website www.dapcons.com, made available to users for their information.
Program Services
The consultant and/or verifier will have access to the Intranet with specific information for Program members.
The consultant and/or verifier will receive the electronic newsletter with information related to the Program and the environmental sector.
The consultant and/or verifier will be part of the distribution list to promptly receive emails generated by the Program for its members.
Diffusion of the Program
The Program administrator will promote the Program among all stakeholders in the sector (companies, technicians and professionals, administrations, and users) through a communication campaign with planned actions including:
Disclosure of the existence and operation of the Program in technical media (press and web).
Dissemination to technicians and professionals in the sector through professional associations and guilds of the professions related to the sector: (Technical Architects, Architects, Builders, Developers, Installers, Technical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Public Works Engineers, Decorators, Property Managers, etc.).
Information to public bodies and institutions related to the sector.
Participation in workshops and conferences presenting the Program.
Cancellation request
In the event of non-payment of more than one installment or failure to comply with any of the obligations of the consultant and/or verifier, they will be removed from the program and the published documentation/information will be withdrawn, without prejudice to the claim for outstanding fees.
INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
THE COL·LEGI DE L'ARQUITECTURA TÈCNICA DE BARCELONA processes the personal data you provide us and those obtained
from your relationship with us, which will be incorporated into a file or files under the responsibility of THE
COL·LEGI DE L'ARQUITECTURA TÈCNICA DE BARCELONA. These will be dedicated exclusively to purposes related to the
management, maintenance, fulfillment, development, and control of the membership application and belonging to the
DAPconstruccion program. In this sense, it is communicated that profile and usage analyses will be carried out based
on the history of services and activities of the interested party in order to improve and provide added value to the
services and activities available to users.
THE COL·LEGI DE L'ARQUITECTURA TÈCNICA DE BARCELONA processes the personal data you provide us and those obtained
from your relationship with us, which will be incorporated into a file or files under the responsibility of THE
COL·LEGI DE L'ARQUITECTURA TÈCNICA DE BARCELONA. These will be dedicated exclusively to purposes related to the
management, maintenance, fulfillment, development, and control of the application for registration as a consultant
and/or verifier for the DAPconstruccion program. In this sense, it is communicated that profile and usage analyses
will be carried out based on the history of services and activities of the interested party in order to improve and
provide added value to the services and activities available to users.
The data will be kept for the entire period during which your registration in the program is maintained, as well as
subsequently during the limitation period for liability actions for the exercise and/or defense of potential claims.
The processed data is protected with the necessary technical means and systems to preserve its confidentiality and
avoid loss, alteration, and unauthorized access, in accordance with the legally required security levels.
Rights of those affected: if necessary, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, limitation,
portability, and opposition to the processing of data, by writing or emailing and attaching a copy of the official
document that identifies you to the COL·LEGI DE L'ARQUITECTURA TÈCNICA DE BARCELONA, residing at Carrer Bon Pastor,
